Professional Experience
Andreas Deuß has been working as a research associate in the Department of Environmental Psychology since October 2023. Since October 2024, he has been pursuing his PhD on the topic of "Sufficiency-oriented housing in later life". Previously, he worked on the research project "Build4People", where he explored how sustainable urban development can be achieved from a people-centered perspective. Within the project "Power2U", he also examined how the heating and mobility transition can be designed in an inclusive way.
Andreas completed his Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Trier. He then obtained his Master’s degree in Environmental Psychology / Human-Technology Interaction at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. His Master’s thesis focused on climate communication and framing. During his Master’s studies, he already worked as a research assistant in the Department of Environmental Psychology.
In addition, Andreas is a certified mediator under the German Mediation Act.
