Florian G. Kaiser ist seit Anfang November 2008 Professor für Sozial- und Persönlichkeitspsychologie an der Otto-von-Guericke-Universität. Zu seinen Forschungsgebieten gehören Einstellungs-Verhaltenskonsistenz, Einstellungsmessung, Person-Situationsinteraktion, Verhaltensänderung und die evidenz-basierte Politikunterstützung. Thematisch interessiert ist er an Umweltschutz und Nachhaltigkeit, Gesundheitsschutz, Arbeitsmotivation und das Erleben von Privatheit.

Dr. Kaiser promovierte 1992 an der Universität Bern (Schweiz) und habilitierte 1999 an der Universität Zürich (Schweiz). Von 1994 bis 1996 war er post-graduierter Stipendiat des Schweizer Nationalfonds an der University of California, Berkeley, und von 1996 bis 1997 an der Universität Trier. Von 1998 bis 2000 war Dr. Kaiser Assistenzprofessor für Mensch-Umwelt-Beziehungen an der Eidgenössisch Technischen Hochschule (ETH) in Zürich. Von 2000 bis 2008 war er Assoziierter Professor für Sozial- und Umweltpsychologie an der Technischen Universität Eindhoven in Eindhoven, Niederlande.

Dr. Kaiser hat über 60 Zeitschriftenartikel publiziert u.a. im Journal of Applied Social Psychology, in Personality and Social Psychology Review, in Applied Psychology: An International Review und in Personality and Individual Differences. Er ist im Editorial Board des Journal of Environmental Psychology und in der Sprechergruppe der Fachgruppe Umweltpsychologie der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Psychologie.
