Since the winter semester of 2011/2012 the institute for psychology at the Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg offers the possibility to earn a master's degree in psychology (M.Sc.) with the major field of study in environmental psychology/interaction between humans and technology. The master's program is called "Umweltpsychologie/Mensch-Technik-Interaktion", all courses are held in German. The Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg is the only university in Germany where you can choose this special environmental focus within your master's studies.
The studies offer a broad education and disclose professional perspectives in many different fields of application, e.g. in consulting and research institutes or within public administration. The interaction between human beings and the environment surrounding them plays a central role in environmental psychological research and education.
Applications for the Master of Science in psychology need to be handed in at the Dezernat für Studienangelegenheiten (Department of Academic Affairs) until mid-July. If you are a student from any other country than Germany, there is no deadline you have to pay attention to. The Master's program starts each year in winter and admission is locally restricted. 20 applicants will be accepted for these studies focusing on environmental psychology/interaction between men and technology.
