Inga Wittenberg arbeitet seit April 2017 als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin und Dozentin in der Abteilung Sozial- und Persönlichkeitspsychologie der Otto-von-Guericke-Universität. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen im Bereich der Untersuchung der Determinanten umweltrelevanter Verhaltensweisen. Zuvor war Inga in der Abteilung Umweltpsychologie tätig. Dort betreute sie vorrangig ein Teilprojekt im Rahmen der Helmholtz Allianz ENERGY-TRANS mit Fokus auf Determinanten des Stromverbrauchs in Privathaushalten mit Photovoltaik-Anlage.
Sie studierte an der Universität von Nantes in Frankreich Psychologie mit den Schwerpunkten Sozial- und Umweltpsychologie. Im Rahmen ihrer Promotion hat sich Inga Wittenberg mit der Beteiligung von ArbeitnehmerInnen an Maßnahmen zur nachhaltigen Entwicklung in Organisationen beschäftigt. Sie war an der Universität von Nantes als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin in Lehre und Forschung tätig und hat an mehreren Projekten zu umweltpsychologischen Fragestellungen mitgewirkt.
